When his Roma team faces Feyenoord in the inaugural Europa Conference League final on Wednesday, Jose Mourinho will look to extend his flawless record in European championships.

All four of his finals have been won by the Portuguese, two with Porto and one each with Inter Milan and Manchester United.

He will become the first manager to lead four separate clubs in a European final in Tirana, Albania.

Since winning the Uefa Cup in 2002, Feyenoord has yet to reach a European final.

With ten goals, Arne Slot’s squad finished third in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Tammy Abraham, on the other hand, has nine goals in his first season with Roma after signing from Chelsea.

In all competitions, the England striker has 27 goals, including two on the final day of the Serie A season against Torino to secure sixth place and Europa League participation.

Abraham also scored the only goal in Roma’s semi-final victory over Leicester in the second leg.

Roma haven’t won a trophy since winning the Italian Cup in 2008, and they haven’t won a European trophy since 1961, when they won the Fairs Cup, which was the precursor of the Uefa Cup/Europa League.

In response to allegations that the Conference League pales in contrast to Europe’s two established competitions, Abraham replied, “For me, it’s not a tiny cup.”

“I believe that every final is a final, regardless of the competition.”

“When you reach the final, you want to win it. It’s a prize, and these are the moments in your career when you reflect on how much you want to win trophies.”
