PCB announces women’s squad for tri-series, Commonwealth Games

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named a national women’s squad for the tri-series in Ireland and the Commonwealth Games, with no changes from the home T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Gull Feroza and Tuba Hassan will make their first international appearances after making their debuts against Sri Lanka last week.

Pakistan will face T20 global champions Australia and host Ireland in Belfast from July 16 to 24.

The national women’s team will also be taking part in the Commonwealth Games where they will face Barbados, India, and Australia The tournament is scheduled from July 29, 31, and 3rd.

Before leaving for the United Kingdom on July 12, the team will conduct intense training in Islamabad at the House of Northern from July 1 to 11.

It is to be noted that the national women’s team defeated the Sri Lankan women’s team 3-0 in the home T20I series. Both teams will now face each other in a three-match ODI series starting from June 1.
