Tennis great Roger Federer is looking to return to the court and his passion for the game is ‘still burning’, his agent said.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion played his last game in the last year’s Wimbledon quarterfinals where he lost to Hubert Hurkacz.

Federer has been spotted at numerous events including last week’s Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.

He has been sharing his photos on Instagram and said ‘feeling like a tourist’ in his own home country Switzerland.

His fans are eager to see him back on the court. his pictures in the gym have created speculation of his return anytime this year.

It is not clear when Federer will be returning to the courts. However, it is already confirmed that he will not take part in this year’s Wimbledon.

According to his agent, Federer may make a comeback in the Laver Cup in London, scheduled from September 23 to 27.

“I think the Laver Cup could be, if that’s the first event that he’s back, a nice entryway back for him, because he’ll be surrounded by friends and comrades,” Godsick, Federer’s long-time agent and business partner, told, “Even if you’ve played tennis for so long like he has, coming back after a lay-off like that, it’s nice to have a little support.”

The Laver Cup, which is effectively a three-day version of the Ryder Cup, matches Europe against the rest of the world rather than the United States.

Roger Federer had the concept in the back of a taxi in Shanghai, and he wanted to pay tribute to Rod Laver in the form of a tournament.
