Iga Swiatek reached the Rome Open final, defeating Aryna Sabalenka 6-2 6-1, to extend her winning streak to 27 games.

In contrast to her Belarusian opponent, the 20-year-old displayed precision and diversity in breaking serve six times.

Next up for the defending champion is Ons Jabeur or Daria Kasatkina.

Swiatek, the world number one, has won five straight tournaments after triumphs in Doha, Indian Wells, Miami, and Stuttgart.

Tunisian Jabeur, who will play Russian Kasatkina in the second semi-final, became the first Arab or African player to win a WTA 1000 title in Madrid last week.
