Iga Swiatek, who won her fifth tournament in a row in Rome on Sunday, will be the top seed at the French Open after securing her world number one position on Monday.

In the current WTA rankings, the 20-year-old Pole, who won the Roland Garros crown in 2020, is over 2,000 points ahead of defending French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova.

Ons Jabeur, the Madrid Open winner who lost in the Italian Open final against Swiatek, advanced to a career-high sixth place.

Coco Gauff fell three places to 18th, while Simona Halep, the former world number one, returned to the top 20 at 19th.
