The US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission have imposed a 150 crore million fine on social networking site Twitter for leaking consumer data.

It should be noted that in 2011, the Federal Trade Commission ordered Twitter to take action on allegations of hacking users’ data and failing to protect information.

According to US officials, the popular social media platform failed to protect users’ information, and Twitter has agreed to pay a crore 150 million civil penalties.
