• Patrice Bergeron has won the Selke Trophy as the NHL’s best guarded forward for a record-breaking fifth time.
• The honor disclosed Sunday before Game 3 of the Eastern Conference last could be Bergeron’s last assuming he chooses to resign.
• He doesn’t have an agreement for next season and declined to say whether he intends to return for a nineteenth season.

Bergeron at 36, drove the association with 991 faceoff wins and a triumphant level of .619 and had the best puck ownership numbers.

Bergeron wouldn’t call it a profession in light of lessened execution. He is still large and in charge.

He set up 65 focuses in 73 games, following just long-term linemates Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak in scoring for the Bruins.

Bergeron winning the Selke for a fifth time frame broke a bind with Montreal Canadiens Hall of Famer Bob Gainey, who won the honor in its initial four years of presence.

This was his eleventh back to back prepare as a finalist — the longest streak in association history, outperforming Wayne Gretzky’s 10-year run completing in the main three in deciding in favor of the Hart Trophy as NHL MVP from 1980-89.

Florida’s Aleksander Barkov and Calgary’s Elias Lindholm were different finalists as casted a ballot by individuals from the Professional Hockey Writers Association. Bergeron was an out of control champ with 160 in front of the pack votes.
