Cristiano Ronaldo is happy welcome  a new striker this summer which Manchester United want to recruit. He scored 24 goals in all competitions last season. As he nears the end of his career, the Red Devils realise they can’t rely on him indefinitely. With that in mind, the club now needs its contentious owners, the Glazers, to take action.

Ronaldo was said to be delighted for United to recruit a new striker back in April.

He understands he won’t be able to play every Premier League game as he approaches the end of his career at the age of 37.

And with Anthony Martial not being good enough, Mason Greenwood banned and Edinson Cavani now gone. It’s evident that United must move.

yet, there is currently no hint of a new striker arriving at Old Trafford.

That isn’t always a bad thing, given United’s previous history of unexpected signings. Donny van de Beek, Daniel James, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are a few examples.

So, as the new season approaches, there is still a chance that United may be left short.
