Dylan Moore hit a walk-off single to centre field off Boston reliever Hansel Robles in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Seattle Mariners to a 7-6 victory over the Red Sox on Saturday night.

The Mariners entered the bottom of the ninth inning trailing 6-5 after Boston’s Bobby Dalbec broke a 5-all tie in the top half of the inning with a solo homer to left field.

For Seattle, Abraham Toro tied it with an RBI single that scored J.P. Crawford. Moore hit a ball past a diving catcher. Jackie Bradley, Jr. scored in centre field to give the game to pinch runner Sam Haggerty.

The Red Sox took a 2-0 lead in the second inning. When third baseman Rafael Devers hit a two-run homer to right field off Seattle starter George Kirby. After the innings, Xander Bogaerts scored on catcher Christian Vazquez’s single, giving Boston a 3-0 lead.

Julio Rodriguez hit a two-run homer into the left-field bullpen off Red Sox pitcher Michael Wacha in the second inning, estimated at 406 feet and 108.4 mph off the bat, to give the Mariners a 4-3 lead.

Wacha pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing eight hits, four runs, three of which were earned, one walk, and three strikeouts. With one out in the fifth, he was replaced by Jake Diekman. Frazier to hit into an inning-ending double play.
