Northampton Saints said they were “disheartened and dismayed” to peruse previous England community Luther Burrell’s remarks.

The remarks were about the bigoted maltreatment he got during his vocation and that they denounced all types of segregation.

“Everybody at Northampton Saints was disheartened and horrified to peruse Luther Burrell’s remarks… enumerating the bigoted maltreatment he has encountered during his playing profession,” Northampton CEO Mark Darbon said on Monday.

“The club censures all types of segregation and contacted Luther to offer our help and cheer his dauntlessness in standing up.

“We were consoled during our discussion that Luther encountered no racial maltreatment during his time.

The club will proceed with its continuous work to ensure Franklin’s Gardens stays a comprehensive climate for all Northampton players, staff and allies.”

Darbon said the club had likewise welcomed Burrell, who acquired 15 covers for England, to get back to their Franklin’s Gardens arena in the future to contribute towards the Diversity and Inclusion projects being conveyed by their local area and business staff.
