Lahore: Afghanistan was to host three ODIs but, according to the PCB, the series is not possible due to the busy schedule of the Pakistan team. The Afghan series is not possible because the Pakistan team is busy till April 2023.

According to the sources, they are looking for a new window for the series. The Pakistan cricket team will play a tri-nation T20 series in New Zealand, the sources added.

Pakistan will leave for New Zealand after finishing the Twenty20 home series against England on October 2.

The series between Pakistan and England will be played from September 15 to October 2, sources further stated.

The tri-nation T20 series in New Zealand is part of the preparation for the T20 World Cup in Australia.

New Zealand, Pakistan, and Bangladesh will participate in the tri-nation T20 series. The three boards have reached an agreement to hold the series.
