Rehan Ahmed hit career-best figures as Leicestershire Foxes beat Durham by 51 runs at Seat Unique Riverside.

Wiaan Mulder batted brilliantly for the Foxes. Striking 54 off 33 balls when the visitors seemed to be in trouble at 80 for 6. With four boundaries and two sixes. The South African timed the ball well to lift his team to a manageable total of 154 for 9 from their 20 overs.

Durham battled during the pursuit and was consistently below the pace, adding to the strain in the middle. Rehan Ahmed tortured the home side with wrist-spin on a sluggish track, taking 4 for 22, while Callum Parkinson (3-16) and Mulder (2-16) also bowled their side to victory, keeping the Foxes’ chances in the North Group alive.
