Tough Texans mini camp and organized team activities have dominated the spotlight for this summer. The Houston Texans appear to be increasing the intensity of their training routines.

And after a poor 4-13 record last season. Some extra zeal may be just what this team needs as it begins its rebuilding process under general manager Nick Caserio.

And, according to newly-signed veteran cornerback Steven Nelson, the Texans have implemented fire and competitiveness.

After signing Nelson to a two-year, $10 million deal. Texans are expecting him to make a big difference in the secondary.

Nelson, rookie and Derek Stingley Jr. and Desmond King II will form an effective offensive combo for the Texans.

Texans coach Lovie Smith appears to be fueling the minicamp fire as well, doing an unapproved practice and incurring a $50,000 fine as a consequence.
