Due to their lack of Covid immunization, Chelsea midfielders N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will not be travelling with the team on its preseason tour of the United States.

The Blues left on Saturday for a training camp in Los Angeles.

However, visitors who are not fully protected against coronavirus are not permitted entry into the country.

Only US nationals are currently permitted to enter the nation without being properly immunized.

N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek won’t be travelling because of their Covid vaccination status, according to a statement released by Chelsea.

Three preseason friendlies for Chelsea are scheduled to take place in America.

They take against Club America of Mexico on July 17 in Las Vegas, Charlotte FC on July 21 at their Bank of America Stadium, and London rivals Arsenal on July 23 in Florida.

Both Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who missed significant amounts of the previous season due to injury, have been added to the team.

Returning loan players Conor Gallagher, Billy Gilmour, Ethan Ampadu, and Michy Batshuayi will also be travelling.

Armando Broja, who excelled while on loan at Southampton last year, will “hope to join up with the group next week,” according to Chelsea.
