Rishabh Pant made a century in his debut ODI, rescuing India after they lost their top order and helping the visiting side attain their objective quickly. He’ll never forget this inning. This was an inning we’ll never forget.

Everyone at Old Trafford dubbed it a remarkable innings. Importantly, maturity. Rohit Sharma, Jos Buttler, and Hardik Pandya praised Pant’s 133-run fifth-wicket stand. Pant said it was a remarkable effort.

Pant said after the game, “Hopefully I’ll remember it forever.” “But when I was in, I focused on one ball at a time, which helped our squad.”

India were 21-2 when Pant came in the sixth over. Virat Kohli’s poor form made it 38-3. Pant and Pandya had to finish off India after Suryakumar Yadav walked at 72 for 4.

Pant had to revive India’s fightback following a top-order collapse for the second time in three days. Pant was stunned when he spooned his weak reply to a full toss at Lord’s. Pant walked away head low.

On Sunday, Pant stayed measured and controlled, except one rush-of-blood moment when on 18, he rushed Moeen Ali, but was defeated by an offbreak that spun away off the field as Pant leaped back into the frame. Pant and Pandya accepted the challenge and built a comeback.
