SL vs PAK: Sri Lanka’s cricket board announced on Thursday that spinner Maheesh Theekshana has been ruled out of the second Test against Pakistan due to a finger injury.

Pakistan’s first innings in the inaugural Test, which Sri Lanka lost by four wickets in Galle on Wednesday, yielded figures of 2-68 for the spinner.

As a replacement, the uncapped all-rounder Lakshitha Manasinghe joins the squad.

Pathum Nissanka, who contracted Covid during the second Australia Test earlier this month, will return for the final Pakistan encounter beginning on Sunday in Galle.
