In a Group H matchup that took place at the Education City Stadium, Uruguay and South Korea battled to a pulsating 0-0 draw. Despite having two shots on goal, Uruguay was unable to break down South Korea’s defense.

In the first half, Diego Godin’s header came close to hitting the post. Shortly after that, Federico Valverde’s attempt hit the crossbar instead of the goal. Even though South Korea had many opportunities, they were unable to convert any of them into goals.

In the first half of the match, South Korea exerted a significant amount of pressure, but Uruguay began to take control of the tempo after the halftime break. The best chance to score for Korea was presented to Hwang Ui-jo, but he blasted his attempt just high enough to miss the target.

In close proximity to the net, Darwin Nunez had a couple of opportunities to score but his shots were off target. In the second half, South Korea put a significant emphasis on counterattacks but was unable to produce any significant results.
