The International Cricket Council (ICC) has adjusted the game’s rules to assure final match for Pakistan and England in the T20 World Cup final, which is currently in danger of being postponed due to rain.

In a statement on Friday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) stated that the Event Technical Committee (ETC) has enhanced the allocation of additional playing time on the reserve day from the original provision of two hours to four hours.

The choice to finish the game and determine a winner was made, according to the cricket’s international governing body.

Rain is expected on Sunday, the final’s scheduled day, and on Monday, the final’s designated day, according to Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology.

Even while there is still a 65% chance of rain between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Sunday, the probability of rain has dropped from 95% to 75%.

The ICC has also stated that a match in the knockout stage consists of 10 overs for each side, and that every attempt will be made to finish the match on the appointed day.

The ICC said in a statement that “Every effort will be made for the match to be completed on Sunday, with any necessary reduction of overs taking place and only if the minimum number of overs necessary to constitute a match cannot be bowled on Sunday will the match go into the reserve day,”

The reserve day’s play will start at 1 p.m. (PST) and will carry over from the match day’s action.
