The Quetta Gladiators’ mentor for the upcoming eighth season of the Pakistan Super League is Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal (PSL).

In the seventh season of the PSL, Umar participated in five games for the Gladiators and scored 101 runs.

Umar will serve as a mentor in the eighth iteration of the premier competition for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), according to the 2019 PSL champions.

Gladiators kept the middle-order batter in the Silver division.

The Governing Council (GC) approved the dates for PSL 8 in accordance with PCB. During the first week of September, the PCB issued a press release stating that PSL 8 would run from 9 February to 19 March 2023.

Umar Akmal played for Pakistan in 211 international games, recording 5,887 runs in the process.
