England to play two white-ball series in Bangladesh in March: Schedule

England will go to Bangladesh for the first time since 2016 for two white-ball series in March, both cricket boards announced on Tuesday.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has confirmed that England Men will play three ODIs and three T20Is against Bangladesh in March 2023.

They will start with three one-day internationals, and then they will play three Twenty20s. All of the games will take place in the cities of Dhaka and Chittagong.

The first two ODIs will be played on March 1 and 3 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Dhaka.

Monday, March 6, at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in Chattogram will be the last game of the series.

The first game of the three-game T20I series is on March 9 at ZACS in Chattogram. The last two games will be played at SBNCS in Dhaka on Sunday, March 12, and Tuesday, March 14.

The last time these two teams played, in 2016, England won the ODI series 2-1.

“There is a great passion for cricket across Bangladesh, and we expect a tough challenge against a side who have an excellent record in home conditions,” said Clare Connor, the England cricket board’s interim CEO.

Before the ODIs, the England team is likely to play two warm-up games. When it’s time, the schedule for the warm-ups will be made public.

2nd T20I: Bangladesh v England, 12 March, SBNCS, Dhaka
3rd T20I: Bangladesh v England, 14 March, SBNCS, Dhaka

Clare Connor, ECB Interim Chief Executive Officer, said, “It’s exciting that the England Men’s white-ball squad will go back to Bangladesh for the first time since 2016. With so many people looking forward to this tour, Dhaka and Chattogram will have a great vibe.
