Son Heung-min, a striker for South Korea, broke free after a Portugal corner in the additional time of the tournament and slipped a pass to Hwang Hee-chan, who then fired the ball past Diogo Costa to set off wild celebrations.

The clock was ticking down on South Korea’s time in the competition. Portugal, who made six substitutions to their lineup from the previous match, scored within the first six minutes of the match but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities later on.

However, even after only two games, they had already secured their spot in the next round and won their group.
