Karachi Kings have named their captain for the upcoming HBL PSL season 8 with Babar Azam joining Peshawar Zalmi.

In the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League, which will take place in 2023, Imad Wasim will captain Karachi Kings.

The 34-year-old was a successful captain for the Kings, leading them to their maiden championship in the HBL PSL 2020 when they defeated the underdog Lahore Qalandars.

Before being succeeded by Babar Azam, Imad Wasim presided over Karachi Kings for three straight seasons (2018–2021). Kings won 20 of their 41 games when he served as captain.

Imad has participated in 64 games of the HBL PSL, scoring 616 runs, including two fifty-run innings. Imad Wasim took 41 wickets with the ball.

Remind everyone that the 2023 season will begin on February 9 in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Multan, with the final scheduled for March 19.
