Marcus Rashford, an attacking player for Manchester United, has signed a contract extension that will keep him with the club until 2024.

The Independent reports that the new contract, worth an estimated £250,000 per week plus bonuses, makes him the highest-paid English player in the Premier League.

The 25-year-previous old’s contract was set to expire at the conclusion of the season, but he and Diogo Dalot, Fred, and Luke Shaw all agreed to new deals.

The United youth product and England World Cup quarterfinalist is an academy product of the club.

United’s coach, Erik Ten Hag, has stated, “We want to develop, we want to assist those players, and we want them to keep in our process.”

Those players “have to be part of it,” he said. “We want to develop a team for the future, so for longer years.”

Both Shaw and Fred, a Brazilian midfielder who will turn 30 in March, have been with the club for four seasons after arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk.

After a week off due to the World Cup, the fifth-placed team of Ten Hag will play home to the sixth-placed Nottingham Forest on Tuesday in Premier League action.
