Williamson is crucial as New Zealand nears Pakistan’s first-innings total
At tea on the third day of the first Test between New Zealand and Pakistan in Karachi, the Kiwis had scored 353 runs and lost four wickets. The visitors are behind by 85 runs, and Kane Williamson (66) and Tom Blundell (five) are still not out.
In the second part of the day, the home team took two wickets. Spinners Abrar Ahmed and Nauman Ali each took two wickets.
Nauman got rid of Henry Nicholls after he scored 22 runs, and Abrar sent Daryl Mitchell back to the hut after he scored 42 runs off of 47 balls.

After starting their first innings with 165-0, New Zealand lost two wickets in the morning session.
Abrar Ahmed sent Tom Latham back to the hut, but not before he scored a brilliant century. The left-hander scored 113 runs by hitting 10 fours.

Meanwhile, Nauman Ali caught Devon Conway before the stumps, which stopped him from reaching his hundred.
Latham and Conway scored an impressive 183 runs together before the first wicket fell. This gave their team a strong start.
Pakistan’s first innings in the first Test against New Zealand in Karachi on Tuesday ended with them being out for 438.
Babar Azam (161) and Agha Salman (103) both scored hundreds for the hosts.
Salman was the last Pakistani player to be dismissed, but not before scoring his first century in the game’s longest format.On the second day of the match, after the captain, Azam, was out in the first over without adding to his score from the night before, he was the star of the show.
Salman’s 103, which took 155 balls, had 17 fours. He and Nauman Ali added 54 important runs after the seventh wicket fell. Nauman Ali played a tough inning, scoring 7 runs in 75 balls.
The Kiwis were close to getting Pakistan out for less than 400 runs, but Salman added 63 runs with the last two wickets to frustrate them.
Tim Southee took three wickets, and Ish Sodhi, Michael Bracewell, and Ajax Patel each took two.
