Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) and La Liga both expressed their support for Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior after his effigy was hanging from a bridge close to the team’s training facility.

“We condemn this heinous incident, which constitutes a hate crime. AFE will appear as a private prosecutor in any case based on this heinous reality “According to the organization.

Meanwhile, La Liga has stated that it “strongly condemns acts of hostility and intimidation towards Vinicius Jr.” in the aftermath of the regrettable incident.

The bridge’s railings were adorned with a banner that said, “Madrid despises Real.”

Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will face battle in the Copa del Rey on Thursday, and Atletico has called the match “repugnant.”

Last month, Vinicius Jr suggested that the Spanish league needed to take action against racist fans.

Prior to Real’s 2-1 victory in the September Madrid derby, Atletico fans sang racist slogans at the player as they entered their Wanda Metropolitano stadium, which the club deemed “unacceptable.”

Spanish officials put an end to their investigation into the chanting three months later, saying it was challenging to identify the offenders.

The racist slur of the Brazilian was reported to the “appropriate judicial, administrative, and sporting organizations,” the Spanish league stated earlier this month.
