Iftikhar Ahmed of Pakistan has gained enormous popularity in Bangladesh as a result of his accomplishments in that country’s sole franchise league.

Iftikhar has scored 100 runs in his first four matches for Fortune Barishal in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) this season. He contributed significantly to his team’s victory over Chattogram Challengers by scoring 57 runs without being out.

Taking to Twitter, Iftikhar shared a picture with a Bangladeshi fan. “Bangladesh is a lovely country with amazing people and hospitality. More importantly, the fans love their cricket. Alhamdulillah another win for Fortune Barishal,” he wrote.

Iftikhar was only able to score five runs for Barishal against Comilla Victorians on Saturday.

After being given the opportunity to bat first, Barishal scored 177-6 thanks to the unbeaten 45-ball 81 made by their captain Shakib Al Hasan.

The bowlers for Barishal held the Victorians to 165-7 while holding them to a defence of 178 runs.

Despite Khushdil Shah’s unbroken 43 runs in 27 balls, which included a four and four sixes, his team was unable to cross the finish line.

In addition to taking a wicket, Iftikhar lost 33 runs in his four overs.
