Khawaja Junaid was given a lifetime suspension by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Tuesday as a result of the event that occurred during the match against Japan, which featured 12 players on the field.

Due to their draw against Japan at the Asia Cup 2022, the Pakistan Hockey Team was unable to advance to the World Cup.

Due to the fact that there were 12 players on the pitch, the Pakistani team’s goal was disallowed, costing them a spot in the World Cup.

Khawaja Junaid resigned before the PHF committee could begin its investigation and stated that he was not to blame for the incident. The previous manager likewise declined to appear before the committee.

Khawaja Junaid’s error, according to PHF’s legal advisor Mian Ali Ashfaq, caused the Pakistan Hockey Team to be humiliated in front of the entire globe.

Khawaja Junaid was also accused for the entire situation by PHF Secretary Haider Ali, who asserted that the manager bears all responsibility for such occurrences.
