LeBron James became just the second player in NBA history to surpass 38,000 career points, but his Los Angeles Lakers suffered their third consecutive loss after losing 113-112 to the Philadelphia 76ers.

On the NBA’s all-time career scoring list, James is now second only to fellow Laker Kareem Abdul-mark Jabbar’s of 38,387 points, and he is anticipated to surpass that figure in the upcoming weeks.

James led the Lakers with 35 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds. He helped the team exceed the 38,000-point milestone in the first quarter, and the players and spectators applauded him for his accomplishment.

But, when the Lakers were defeated, with Joel Embiid scoring 35 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for the 76ers, James was in no mood to reminisce on his personal milestone.

When asked if he had any comments on the achievement, he simply said no and decided to focus on his team’s poor performance.

“It’s just disappointing to get into those situations and not come out on top,” James added.

In the last few seconds of the game, Russell Westbrook for the Lakers was unable to make a play.

“We got a stop, had a chance to win the game, and didn’t,” he explained.

On Sunday, the Chicago Bulls defeated the sagging NBA champion Golden State Warriors 132-118 because to Nikola Vucevic’s 43-point performance.

Vucevic, of Montenegro, had his tenth straight double-double after filling in for the injured DeMar DeRozan, helping the Bulls stop a three-game losing streak in Chicago’s United Center.

Vucevic’s effort was the highlight of Chicago’s balanced all-around offensive performance, which saw six players finish with double-digit point totals.

In addition, Zach LaVine scored 27 points, while Alex Caruso and Ayo Dosunmu each scored 12. Coby White scored 15 points off the bench.

“I got rolling extremely early,” Vucevic said after shooting 18-for-31 from the field and hitting five three-pointers. “It’s difficult to explain. You just get this feeling that it’s going to be your night, and you just go with it.

“We really got the ball rolling. We played quite aggressively offensively, and I was able to find my spots.”

The Bulls (20-24) needed the win as they prepare to travel to Paris for a regular-season game against the Detroit Pistons on Thursday.
