Mohammad Amir failed to get wicket in his second BPL match
Mohammad Amir went wicketless in his second game of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Saturday after bowling effectively in his first.
Amir took two for seven against Chattogram Challengers in the first game of this year’s BPL for Sylhet Strikers.
He did not, however, take a wicket in his second game against Fortune Barishal. In his four overs, the pacer gave up 31 runs.
The left-arm bowler rose to prominence during the Pakistan Cricket Board’s regime shift (PCB). He also trained at the National High Performance Centre (NHPC) in Lahore with approval from the PCB’s newly appointed management committee chairman, Najam Sethi.
After appearing in the BPL, Amir made his national team debut in 2016. Sethi had also played an essential part in his return to the national team.
However, Amir has stated that he has no plans to return to work.
“I haven’t considered retiring because I’m currently concentrating on the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Mohammad Amir will play for Pakistan again if God wills “He stated.
