Mickey Arthur’s return is still anticipated, according to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chairman Najam Sethi, who made the announcement during a news conference on Monday in Lahore.

Sethi, who made certain significant decisions public, claimed to be in direct contact with the former coach.

“Mickey Arthur’s chapter is not closed as of yet,” shared Sethi. “I am in contact with him personally. His return is still on cards,” the chairman management committee added.

Sethi said his conversations with the highly regarded coach in South Africa have been productive thus far. He is anticipating welcoming him back in his new role as head coach.

“If Arthur comes in, we will give him free hand to make his team like we did previously,” he said.

It should be remembered that Arthur previously guided the Pakistani national team from 2016 to 2019. In 2017, Pakistan’s first-ever Champions Trophy victory occurred under his direction. Additionally, Pakistan has won a record 11 straight T20I series.

On the other side, Sethi also stated that Mark Coles, a former coach, will return in June of this year to lead the women’s team.
