PAK vs NZ: On Monday, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first against New Zealand at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.

During the match, Pakistan’s leg-spinner Usama Mir and New Zealand’s pacer Henry Shipley make their ODI debuts.

The last time these two sides met was in the 2019 edition of the 50-over World Cup, when Pakistan won by six wickets thanks to Babar Azam’s superb unbeaten century in Birmingham.

Their previous bilateral series (in the UAE in 2018) ended in a tie after the final match was rained out.

During the series against New Zealand, Pakistan has a chance to surpass the United States as the best ODI team in the world.

Pakistan will move up to the top of the rankings with 114 rating points if they defeat New Zealand 3-0 during the three-match series.

With 107 rating points, The Men in Green are currently in fifth place. New Zealand is currently in first place with 116 rating points.
