PAK vs NZ: Middle-order batsman Saud Shakeel reached his first Test century during the second test match between Pakistan and New Zealand, which is now going place in Karachi. The match is between Pakistan and New Zealand.

The left-handed batter knocked a ball hit by Michael Bracewell into the outfield with the soft hands of his bat, and then he ran in on a single to push his total to three digits on the field that he calls home.

Pakistan was 337-5 at tea on the third day of the second Test against New Zealand in Karachi. This was thanks to Saud Shakeel’s hundred.

The home team is now 112 runs behind New Zealand’s first-innings score of 449. They will try to win the match on a pitch that is still good for batting at National Stadium.

In 319 minutes of steady batting, Shakeel swept spinner Michael Bracewell for a boundary and then took a quick single to get to 100.

At the break, the 27-year-old was on 101 and Agha Salman was on 4. Sarfaraz Ahmed was caught on 78 in the last over before the break. This was his third consecutive half-century in the series.

After Pakistan lost Imam-ul-Haq with 83 runs in the first session, Shakeel and Sarfaraz added 150 runs to make up for it.

So far, Shakeel has hit 14 fours, while Sarfaraz, who was out two balls before a leg-before call was made against him, had 10 fours.

Before that, Haq was caught by wicketkeeper Tom Blundell off of fast bowler Tim Southee when Pakistan was on 154-3 when play resumed.

Haq rebuilt the innings after helping get captain Babar Azam run out on Tuesday, when the team was on 74. He was out in the second hour of the session, though.

He got close to Blundell, but he didn’t get out until New Zealand fought against the appeal that was turned down.

During his 244-minute knock, Haq hit ten fours and one six.

The first Test match, which was also played in Karachi, ended in a tie.
