PAK vs NZ: Shaheen Shah Afridi, a left-arm pacer, has joined Pakistan’s Test squad for the present second Test against New Zealand.

Shaheen, his bowling instructor Shaun Tait, and his physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon all went out for a game of bowling during lunch on day one.

On the practice pitch, he bowled with apparent rhythm and ease.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement after he was seen wearing the team’s official training uniform.

From today on, Shaheen Afridi will continue his recovery in Karachi with the help of the national men’s team’s medical personnel. While the medical team is giving Shaheen the best care possible, they will be able to monitor his recovery and prepare him for a speedy return to activity thanks to this decision.

Right-arm fast bowler Haris Rauf has been invited to be evaluated by the team’s medical staff ahead of next week’s three One-Day Internationals against New Zealand, according to the statement.

On November 13 in Melbourne, Shaheen faced off against England in the final of the Twenty20 World Cup 2022. During the championship game, he was hurt while fielding a ball from Shadab Khan.
