After making his ODI debut at home against New Zealand, leg-spinner Usama Mir has been recruited by Fortune Barishal for the current Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Usama unexpectedly joined Pakistan’s ODI team for their home series against New Zealand. Shahid Khan Afridi, the interim chief selector, added Usama to the squad in Shadab Khan’s place after learning of his injury.

In his ODI debut, the right-arm leggie dominated with the ball, taking two wickets for 42 runs in his first 10 overs. He took a wicket for the same number of runs in the subsequent game.

Usama was taking a wicket while playing in the series-clinching match against New Zealand at the time this tale was written. After his performance for Pakistan, Usama was selected by Barishal for the current BPL season. After concluding the current series, which ends tonight, he will quickly join his team.

Usama finished the season as the highest wicket-taker in the Pakistan Cup with 28 wickets. Usama has appeared in 66 T20 matches so far in his career and has claimed 54 wickets.
