Pakistan appeared to be in control of the target hunt during the post-lunch session, with Sarfaraz Ahmed and Saud Shakeel coming back with a vengeance. Due to the fact that both hitters appeared to be in good shape, the Kiwi bowlers at first struggled to do any damage.

The second Test between Pakistan and New Zealand was matched after a valiant century by Sarfaraz Ahmed on Friday in Karachi, finishing the two-match series.

Ahmed’s first century since 2014 gave the Green Shirts hope that they would eventually win the game at one point during the second innings.

But as Pakistan clung to a draw in the waning light, the batter was removed within the game’s last stages.

Sarfaraz Ahmed scored a Test century here to announce his return to the team. However, Michael Bracewell joined the attack and removed Saud Shakeel to restore some optimism to the Kiwis’ locker room.

Later, Agha Salman and Sarfaraz Ahmed quickly scored, giving them hope that they may still win the match as they smashed 70 runs off 83 balls for the seventh wicket. However, when Agha Salman fell, it provided the Kiwis with a chance, which they seized with both hands.

They even got rid of Sarfaraz Ahmed at the end of stumps but could not take the final wicket in time. Michael Bracewell stood out with the ball for the Kiwis with his four-fer.
