In a thrilling match, Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Borna Coric 6-0, 6-7(4), 7-5 to give Team Greece a crucial point in the City Finals on Wednesday.

Following Donna Vekic’s convincing 6-2, 6-0 victory over Despina Papamichail in the City Final, the World No. 4 entered the court.

Coric mounted a comeback after saving two match points at 5-6 in the second set, forcing Tsitsipas to dig deep after winning the first set. The Greek found himself in peril when he fell behind 1-4 in the decisive match, but he battled back to defeat Croatia in an exciting two-hour, 32-minute victory.

The women’s singles match between Petra Martic and Greece’s Maria Sakkari, ranked No. 6 on the WTA, will determine who advances to the City Final in the evening session.

In the fourth singles match, Borna Gojo will oppose Michail Pervolarakis.
