Multan Cricket Stadium gates will open today at 2 PM
Multan Cricket Stadium will host the opening ceremony and first match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 on February 13.
The stadium’s gates will open today at 2 PM, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). To prevent traffic jams, fans are asked to be at the stadium as soon as possible.
The first game, between the reigning champions Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans, will begin at 8 p.m. after the opening ceremony at 6 p.m.
Along with Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, and Faris Shafi, who will sing the PSL 8 official anthem, Sahir Ali Bagga and Aima Baig will also perform during the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony will feature Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology for the first time in PSL’s history. Drones will be used to throw up a light show to entertain cricket fans around the world.
PCB, under Najam Sethi’s direction, is committed to making this year’s PSL larger and better. Sethi repeated that the PSL brand has to be updated in his press briefings after regaining control of the PCB.
“The PSL 8 will be a big event for the PCB, taking place at four famous locations and featuring the world’s finest T20 cricketers. “We intend to make the PSL larger, better, and stronger than ever before, with the overarching goal of making it the first-choice event for elite T20 players,” he stated.
PSL’s branding budget was increased from $100,000 to $1 million by Sethi and his crew.
