The eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2023) will begin on Monday with a replay of the season’s championship game between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars at the latter team’s home stadium.

Tim David, Rilee Rossow, David Miller, and Adil Rashid are not directly available for Multan. Rashid Khan, Sam Billings, Jordan Cox, and David Wiese will not be available for PSL 2023 Match 1 due to Lahore.

Since the SA20 and ILT20 finals were played on Sunday alone, it is unlikely that the players that participated on Sunday will start for Pakistan Super League on Monday as well. There are also international contests in addition to these.

Last season, Multan Stadium hosted just 3 games, and the team that batted first won 2 of them. Both teams found it a little challenging to hit during the powerplay, but as the game went on, scoring runs became simpler. Naturally, pacers will have a better chance than spinners to take wickets in Pakistan’s small boundaries.
