Martin Guptill, the top batter for New Zealand, expressed excitement about playing in front of the incredible Pakistani fans during the forthcoming eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The Gladiators selected Guptill in the supplemental round of the inaugural selection in December 2022.

Guptill stated he is delighted to play in Pakistan in a video posted by the Quetta Gladiators on their official Twitter account.

“I am really excited to play in front of the amazing fans of Pakistan for the first time in my career. I cannot wait to experience the love and warmth of Pakistani fans in jampacked stadiums,” Guptill said.

The Gladiators, led by Sarfaraz Ahmed, are loaded with match-winners, according to the opening batter, who was eager to team up with Jason Roy of England.

“I am most excited to link up with the destructive Jason Roy. It’s gonna be fun and fireworks. Pakistan, mai araha hoon [Pakistan, I am coming],” he added.

It should be noted that Guptill played for Karachi Kings in the PSL.

On February 15, the Gladiators will begin their PSL season at the Multan Cricket Stadium against the Multan Sultans, who finished second in 2022.
