PSL 8: Imran Tahir, a great spinner from South Africa, arrived in the nation today and joined the Karachi Kings team in preparation for the 8th Pakistan Super League.

In order to compete for their individual franchises in the PSL 8, which got underway yesterday with a match between the defending champion Lahore Qalandars and the local Multan Sultans, foreign athletes continue to travel to Pakistan.

The most popular PSL team, Kings, will play their opening match against the Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi on Tuesday at Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena.

Leg spinner Tahir’s entrance in the city was captured on camera by Karachi Kings, who posted it to Twitter.

James Vince, an English batter, travelled to Pakistan last night to compete for the Kings in the premier event.

Despite Mohammad Rizwan’s outstanding 75-run effort, Shaheen Afridi-led Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans in the opening game yesterday.

Set to chase 176 runs, home team Sultans came within one run of victory as they managed to compile 174/6 in their allotted 20 overs thanks to rookie pacer Zaman Khan’s composed defence of 15 runs in the final over.
