On April 22 in Las Vegas, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis will engage in a highly anticipated fight.

When the American boxers tweeted on social media to confirm the bout, Golden Boy Promotions announced that the fight had been agreed upon.

Davis and Garcia will fight in a 12-round non-title bout at a 136-pound catch weight that has been agreed upon.

Garcia has 23 victories with 19 stoppages, whereas Davis has 28 victories with 26 knockouts.

The fight might be held in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena or the T-Mobile Arena, but the organisers have also considered having it at Allegiant Stadium, the stadium of the NFL team the Las Vegas Raiders.

The two were supposed to engage in interim fights before to their battle, but only Davis carried out that plan, defeating Hector Luis Garcia by technical knockout in the ninth round on January 7 in Washington.

Garcia was reportedly going to fight Filipino southpaw Mercito Gesta, but he ultimately decided against it and instead focused on the Davis fight.

Garcia forced the stoppage in the sixth round of his previous fight against Dominican southpaw Javier Fortuna in Los Angeles.
