Shadab Khan, the skipper of Islamabad United, reacted to Iftikhar Ahmed hitting six sixes of Wahab Riaz during the exhibition match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi on Sunday at the Bugti Stadium in Quetta.

Wahab gave Zalmi the perfect start by dismissing Ahsan Ali and Umar Akmal in the second over, but Quetta fought back to post a respectable total.

Meanwhile, Iftikhar hit Wahab for six sixes in the final over of the innings to ensure that Quetta ended on a high note. In 50 balls, the right-hander scored an unbeaten 94 runs.

It is worth noting here that Wahab was recently appointed as Punjab’s caretaker sports minister.

Meanwhile, Shadab took to Twitter to respond to Iftikhar’s criticism of the newly-appointed sports minister.

“Great to see the love and support shown by the people of Quetta. They deserve the best,” he added.

It should be noted that the home team defeated Peshawar Zalmi by three runs, thanks to an outstanding batting performance by Iftikhar Ahmed and some fine bowling by the bowlers.

When the Gladiators batted first, they scored a competitive 184 runs before holding the Yellow Storm to 181 runs.
