Shahid Khan Afridi, a former Test cricketer, was impressed by Karachi Kings’ remarkable comeback in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.

After Kings’ 67-run victory over Lahore Qalandars on Sunday in Karachi, Afridi remarked that Imad Wasim’s team had recovered well.

“Great game won by Karachi. They did a great job coming back to win this game, which was crucial for them “said he.

“Lahore is a strong team, and a victory over them will boost Karachi’s confidence. They should now maintain their current level of performance and remain in the PSL “He went on to say.

Imad served as Kings’ captain during the PSL 8 season, which saw them begin with three straight losses. They lost their first home game to Peshawar Zalmi, followed by defeats to Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators.

The Kings lost 13 of their previous 14 games, including last season, despite having a new leadership team. Imad took over as captain after Babar Azam was traded from Zalmi for Shoaib Malik.

Afridi, on the other hand, refused to praise any of the youngsters, including Saim Ayub, at this stage.

“It is too early to discuss any child. Players should not be hyped after a single performance. Allow them to play and demonstrate their abilities. I’ll be able to discuss them after PSL “He came to a conclusion.
