Wahab Riaz to take oath as minister after PSL 8
Cricketer Wahab Riaz‘s oath taking ceremony has been postponed after his appointment as Punjab’s caretaker cabinet’s sports minister.
The Peshawar Zalmi pacer’s desire to compete in the next eighth season of the Pakistan Super League led to the decision (PSL).
Najam Sethi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, had asked Mohsin Naqvi, the interim chief minister of Punjab, to delay the ceremony till the PSL’s end. The pacer will be able to participate in the competition without having to shoulder additional ministry responsibilities as a result.
“Wahab Riaz will now play the entire PSL. He will take the oath when the PSL concludes, according to a PCB spokeswoman.

By winning three championships, Islamabad United will attempt to surpass Lahore Qalandars as the most successful team. Lahore Qalandars will try to make history by being the first team to win consecutive championships.
Eleven games will be played in Rawalpindi, nine games each in Karachi and Lahore, and five games in Multan.
