Mohammad Amir, a former international bowler for Pakistan, has joined his team, Asia Lions, in Doha, Qatar, for the Legends League Cricket (LLC).

As Karachi Kings of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) were eliminated from the eighth edition, Amir joined the Lions team in time for their second match versus World Giants. Nine wickets were taken in the left-arm pacer’s seven PSL 8 appearances.

The third LLC match was slated to pit the Giants and Lions against one another. The damp outfield, however, has caused the game to be postponed.

In their opening match, the Lions defeated the India Maharajas by nine runs. The Lions included Pakistani greats such Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, and Abdul Razzaq.

Misbah, a former Test captain for Pakistan, commanded the field as the Lions defeated the Maharajas in the league’s opening match.

With Afridi as their captain, the Lions scored 165-6 in 20 overs while batting first. With his prepared innings of 73 off 50 balls, Misbah was the star performance.

Despite losing batting mates at the opposite end, the right-handed batter used his experience for the Lions to keep the scoreboard moving. Misbah only had support from Upul Tharanga (40), who helped them both score 108 runs in total.

The Lions held the Maharajas to 156-9 in 20 overs as a response.
