Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by four wickets in the Eliminator 2 of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight on Friday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.Lahore completed the 172-run target in 18.5 overs, despite losing Fakhar Zaman early in the game.

Azmatullah Omarzai was the winning bowler. Ahsan Hafeez dropped a simple catch to wicketkeeper Haseebullah after top-edging a ball from Wahab Riaz.Abdullah Shafique was fired after a major misunderstanding with Mirza Tahir Baig.

Sam Billings and Tahir resurrected Lahore’s chase with a crucial 50-run partnership in only 28 balls. In the 19th over, Shaheen Afridi hit a six and a four to get his team over the line. Peshawar had earlier scored 171-5 in their allotted 20 overs.
