Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bat first against Lahore Qalandars at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore during the Eliminator 2 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight.

Pacer Zaman Khan broke Saim Ayub’s (9) stumps with a delivery that darted back in off the pitch, providing an early breakthrough.

Following the early setback, Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris added 89 runs in 60 balls for the second wicket to put Peshawar in command.

Rashid Khan took two wickets in the same over to send Babar (42 off 36) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (0) back to the pavilion, just when Lahore needed them.

Haris, on the other hand, kept playing shots with ease and went on to score 85 runs in 54 balls. His innings featured 11 fours and two sixes.

Shaheen was expensive with the ball, conceding 41 runs in four overs but sending Haris back to the pavilion on his final delivery.

The winner of today’s match will face Multan Sultans in tomorrow’s final.

Lahore lost the Qualifier against Multan Sultans on Wednesday, but they will have another chance to qualify for the final against Peshawar.
