Matthew Wade of the Karachi Kings believes his team has a good chance of making the playoffs in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.

Wade told the media after Kings were defeated by Peshawar Zalmi by 24 runs in Rawalpindi on Wednesday that they failed to capitalize on opportunities and lost matches after coming so close.

“We’ve lost most of our games by razor-thin margins. Our current run rate is most likely keeping us in the tournament “Wade stated.

“We’ll have another chance in a few days. We must recover and win all three of our remaining games. If we win all of our remaining games, we will advance to the next round “He went on to say.

Wade claimed he could have put the game away for Kings after scoring 53 runs off 41 balls in a 198-run chase against Zalmi.

Following the latest loss, the Kings are now in fifth place on the points table, with four points in seven games. Their run rate of 0.565 keeps them in contention for a spot in the next round.
