Misbah-ul-Haq, a former Test cricketer, offered his assessment of Shoaib Malik’s performance in the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Misbah claimed Malik had been performing well for the past 1.5 years while speaking on a local news show.

Malik has played in the past 1.5 years, whether it was for franchise cricket or the final time he represented Pakistan, according to Misbah.

“I’m surprised that he hasn’t capitalised on his form during this PSL season. Although he has begun playing modern cricket and can accelerate with a strike rate of 140-150, he hasn’t contributed much to this edition.”

“I believe he has continued to be unlucky because, as you can see, he got off to a good start with two fifties. Yet, Karachi required runs at a run-rate of above 10 whenever he entered the game. I believe that’s why he was constantly under pressure “he said.

In nine games, Malik scored 200 runs, including two fifty-run innings. Malik failed to guide his team Karachi to victory twice.

When asked about Malik’s retirement, Misbah responded that it was his choice. “One must be one’s own judge. He has the choice of continuing to play or retiring. He appears to be in shape and dedicated to his sport. He is free to play franchise cricket if he feels that way “Finally, he said.
