Najam Sethi declares training staff for Afghanistan T20I series
The national coaching staff for the upcoming T20I series against Afghanistan has been announced by Najam Sethi, chairman of the PCB management committee.
Sethi made the declaration from his authority’s Twitter account. His announcement says that Pakistan’s former Test pacer Umar Gul will be the bowling coach, Mohammad Yousaf, a former Test batter, will be the batting coach, and domestic coach Abdul Rehman will be the head coach.
Sethi announced, “PCB announces Support Personnel for Sharjah T20Is. Abdul Rehman, Head Coach; Umar Gul, Bowling Coach; M Yousuf, Batting Coach; A Majeed, Fielding Coach; Drikus Simon, Trainer; Cliffe Deacon, Physio; Talha Ijaz, Analyst; Mansoor Rana, Manager; Ahsan Nagi, Media Manager.”

Umar has remained the bowling coach for the Afghanistan national team in recent times. In the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he has also worked as a bowling coach for Quetta Gladiators. Rehman is currently a member of the Multan Sultans coaching staff and coached the KP team in domestic cricket.
Yousaf was a member of the previous coaching staff led by head coach Saqlain Mushtaq.
On Walk 13, PCB declared 15-men crew for the T20I series against Afghanistan. The cricket board gave rest to their primary players including skipper Babar.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a young team for the three-match Twenty20 International series against Afghanistan, which begins at the end of March in Sharjah. This selection was made with the national team’s busy schedule in mind.
Rest has been granted to Babar, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Mohammad Rizwan. Khan was named captain of the Afghanistan T20I series, and he has continued to serve as vice-captain of the Pakistan team in the white-ball format.
The 15-member squad includes Imad Wasim, Saim Ayub, Azam Khan, Ihsanullah, and Zaman Khan, all of whom participated in this year’s PSL.
