Yousaf was a member of the previous coaching staff led by head coach Saqlain Mushtaq.

On Walk 13, PCB declared 15-men crew for the T20I series against Afghanistan. The cricket board gave rest to their primary players including skipper Babar.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a young team for the three-match Twenty20 International series against Afghanistan, which begins at the end of March in Sharjah. This selection was made with the national team’s busy schedule in mind.

Rest has been granted to Babar, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Mohammad Rizwan. Khan was named captain of the Afghanistan T20I series, and he has continued to serve as vice-captain of the Pakistan team in the white-ball format.
